Sweet E’s hosted a Pre-Valentine’s Day party with Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga and her husband Joe to help celebrate the launch of our new product, Poppers! For the event, Sweet E’s collaborated with Voli Vodka to create vodka-infused Poppers using their low-calorie fruit and fusion flavored vodka.
The Poppers were a huge hit with the party guests and are now available to purchase over the phone for $18/dozen! They will soon be available to purchase online, so make sure to check out our website to stay updated on our new and delicious creation!
Guests also enjoyed complimentary makeovers from Blushington Make-Up and Beauty Lounge, as well as sugaring demonstrations from Studio Alexandria. Thank you, Melissa, for making our Valentine’s Day party that much Sweeter!
Love sweets and the smell of sweets? If you answered yes to one or both of these questions, we have just the thing for you! Back in June Sweet E traveled to New York to be a guest judge for the MyCandleRecipe contest, hosted by Bath and Body Works and Slatkin & Co. The contest consisted of five aspiring bakers who put forth their best dessert recipe to which the winning three contestants desserts will be turned into a candle. Sweet E along with judges Harry Slatkin, Creator of Slatkin & Co., and Jeanine Guerrero, Givaudan Fragrance Expert, sampled each dessert and after much thought, selected Tim Ong of Houston, Texas with Strawberry Pistachio Delight, Mary Shivers of Ada, Oklahoma with Tropical Tangerine Cake, and Naylet La Rochelle of Miami, Florida with Maple Sticky Toffee Pudding. Now the expert judges are turning the decision over to YOU to select the winner who is most deserving of the ultimate grand prize – a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join Harry Slatkin in New York City to watch as his or her dessert is turned into a gourmand candle. To watch exclusive cooking event footage and to vote for your favorite contestant, visit www.MyCandleRecipe.com. In addition, five lucky voters will also win a year’s supply of Slatkin & Co. candles! Voting begins Wednesday, August 3rd and closes at Midnight on Tuesday, August 9th. Get your vote in before it’s too late!
This just in! We are adding a kids baking class this Monday, August 1, at 9:30AM. To reserve a spot for your little one(s), give us a call at 323-422-8885 or email us at: info@sweetesbakeshop.com. For more information, please click here.

In times of tragedy, people often find themselves asking why bad things happen to good people. Unfortunately, there is no explanation and so is the case with Robin and Josh Berry of Houston, Texas, who were killed in a head-on collision on July 2nd. The Berry’s were returning from a family outing with their three young children on July 2nd when their car collided with another car. The Berry children, Peter (9,) Aaron (8) and Willa (6) were immediately rushed to the hospital where it has since been determined that both Peter and Aaron are paralyzed from the waist down while Willa has suffered a broken arm and ankle. The children are now in custody of their uncle and legal guardian, Matt Berry, who is doing all he can to keep the kid’s lives as normal as possible. The story of the fatal accident has received media attention nationwide and athletes and celebrities alike have stopped by the hospital to pay a friendly visit to the Berry kids. Friends, family and complete strangers have come together to show their support for the Berry family. Here at Sweet E’s, we want to do everything we can to spread the word about the Berry’s and help a family in need. Donations can be made to the Joshua and Robin Berry Children’s Trust online at www.theberrychildren.org or by mail to:

We wish Peter, Aaron and Willa a speedy recovery and we will continue to keep them in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
How many Sweet E’s girls does it take to make a shirt? Three-one to design it, one to approve it and one to model it. If there is one thing that we here at Sweet E’s learned in college, it’s how to design a t-shirt (thanks to our sorority). And since one can never have too many t-shirts or tank tops, we would like to proudly introduce our new and improved Sweet E’s shirts and tanks brought to you by Active Duty Sportswear. Now you can show your love for Sweet E’s with a classic v-neck (available in black or white) or show off your tan in our trendy tank.
Going to a Dodger game? Wear your Sweet E’s tank!
Going to the Grove? Wear your Sweet E’s shirt!
And soon, we will be introducing the perfect accessory for a beach day-a Sweet E’s hat! For more information, please call us at 323-422-8885 and to pick-up your very own Sweet E’s apparel, stop by our store located at 1417 S. Robertson Blvd. For all of our out of town fans, we can ship our Sweet E’s apparel nationwide (and we may just throw in a little something extra).
Look forward to dressing (and baking for) you soon!
